Gearing up for Fall
Am I the only person thinking about cozy sweaters, apple picking, pumpkins and changing leaves? I know it seems early to think about fall yet, seeing as we still have at least 4-5 more weeks of prime summertime, but there is something comforting and cozy about the fall season (at least for me). Maybe it's because things are so uncertain right now for a lot of things. Life sometimes feels like we can’t catch a break. You can’t not read the news but you really need to stop reading the news for at least a day for some peace of mind. So instead we turn to what comforts us - be it warm sweaters or warm apple cider.
You may have noticed that I try to be as positive as possible and try to enjoy every drop of summertime but I can’t help but look forward to the upcoming season. Vogue’s September issue should be coming out in just a few weeks, all of the shops will soon start showcasing trenchcoats, and scarves start coming in a myriad of colors and textures, home decor stores will soon have pumpkins and burnt orange colors decorate their every window. Peach season will be replaced by crisp and sweet apples. So focus on what comforts you in these troubling times, and find a place that helps give you a peace of mind.
Sonbahara hazırlanmak için biraz erken mi?
Yumuşak kazaklar, elma toplama, balkabakları ve sonbahar renklerini düşünmek için daha çok mu erken? Her ne kadar yazın bitmesine daha 4-5 hafta olsada sonbahar sezonu benim hep içimi ısıtmıştır. Belki bu aralar gündemler o kadar iç sıkıcı ki insan içini ısıtacak bir şeyler arıyor. Haberleri okusan bir türlü, okumasan bir türlü - onun için insan kendini dengelemek için kendine ne iyi geliyorsa onu yapmakta fayda var - bu ister cozy bir kazak ister sıcak bir elma suyu.
Genel olarak pozitif olmaya çalışıp ve yaz sezonundan sonuna kadar faydalanmaya çalışsamda ben galiba sonbahara hazırım. Vogue’un Eylül sayısı 2 haftaya çıkacaktır, bütün mağazalar yavaş yavaş trenchcoat ve birbirinden renkli atkı/eşarplar çıkartacaklardır. Ev dekor mağazaları turuncu tonlarıyla ve balkabaklarında vitrinleri süsleyecekler. Pazarlarda yarma şeftalilerin yerini sert ve tatlı elmalar alıcak. Eh ne diyeceğiz biraz değişiklik iyidir deyip yeni sezon heyecanla bekleyeceğiz.
