Winter Style
Yerler karla kaplı, sen her daim üşüyorsun ama bir taraftanda sosyal takvimin dolu; evde oyun gecesi, Pazar sabahı kahvaltı, piyano resitali ve ‘date night’ derken insan hem ne giysem diye düşünüyor hemde bunu donmadan nasıl beceririm diyor! Her ne kadar kimi zaman tek yapmak istediğimiz altımıza bir tayt geçirip üzerimize rahat (ve sıcacık tutan) bir kazak giymek istiyoruz. Bu postta aslında geçen hafta piyano resitaline giderken giydiğim kıyafetle ortaya çıktı diyebilirim. Geçen Pazartesi Süreyya’ya giderken içimden şık giyinip gitmek istedim. Tabii ki bu aralar bende her daim üşüyorum ama bir taraftan titremeden bir taraftanda kendimi iyi hissettiğim (ve tabikide iyi gözüktüğüm) bir kıyafet oluşturmak bana ilham verdi ve bu vesileyle sizlerde ben neler giymeyi düşünüyorum diye sizlerle paylaşmak istedim.
Herşeyi başı olan bu kıyafet ile başlamak en doğrusu diye düşündüm. Pazartesi akşamı giydiğim etek, kazak ve bot maalesef ki artık stoklarda kalmamış ama o akşamki outfit in benzer ürünleri ile yeniden yarattım diyebilirim! Mesela şu an tam tiyatro/konser sezonu, sizde kendinize bir-iki bilet alın, güzelcene giyininin ve kış sezonunun tadını çıkartın derim!
Sonrasında Pazar sabah kahvaltısı geliyor - ne de olsa arkadaşlarla bir araya gelip tüm haftanın dedikodusunu yapmak gerekiyor! Ve doğrusunu söylemek gerekirse geçen Pazar günü neredeyse bu şekilde giyindim diyebilirim. Özellikle bu deri görünümlü taytlar bu kış sezonunun favori parçası diyebilirim - içleri miflonlu olduğu için bacakların katiyen üşümüyor!
Derken bazı akşamlar vardır ki hava dışarıda, ısıtıcıların altında buluşmak için bile çok soğuk olup plan ev içinde bir toplanmaya döner. Eh böylede olunca yapılması gereken tek şey herkesi sıcak tutacak ve tamamiyle rahat ve ‘casual’ giyinip, pizza sipariş edip, sıcak şarabı koymak ve tüm masa oyunları çıkartmak kalıyor!
Tabii hava sıcaklığı ve modumuz değiştikçe ne giydiğimiz de değişiyor ama arada sırada sevgili tayt ve kazaklarımızı askıya alıp biraz bir değişiklik yapmakta fayda var diye düşünüyorum. Hemde bir okazyon yaratmış oluyoruz! Kış sezonunda size bol ‘cute’ kıyafetli okazyonlar dilerim…
There is snow on the ground, you’re constantly cold but let’s face it there is something incredibly energizing about getting dressed for an outing whether that’s having friends come over to your place for a game night, going out to piano recital, Sunday brunch or date night! Although let’s face it, sometimes all you want to do is throw on some leggings, a chunky (and incredibly warm) sweater and call it a day. To be honest this post started with a casual outfit I threw together for going to a piano recital last week. I felt like dressing up for a Monday night and then I thought why not? Sure I’m constantly cold, which sometimes makes getting dressed in anything but thermal leggings a bit of a challenge but it gave me the inspiration to share with you what I wear to feel good (while hopefully looking good :) and warm!
So starting with the outfit that started everything! The actual clothes that I wore that night have sold out, but here is my outfit re-created with updated links! I highly recommend putting together an outfit and just going to the theater, museum, gallery opening, or many of the recitals during the winter season.
Then of course there are the many Sunday brunches where we all catch-up with friends, catch-up on gossip and fill up on delicious food! To be honest, this was pretty much my outfit just this past Sunday. And these leather looking leggings are my number one winter staple - they’re lined so my legs never freeze!
Then there are the nights where it really is just too cold to meet up outside (even with all of the layers and heaters) so nothing beats a casual get-together where we’re all cozy & comfortable. The dress code is simply “be comfortable.” And with that it’s time to order in some pizza, pour some mulled wine and break out the board games!
Finally there are those nights you want to look special, feel sexy but let’s face it without turning blue! Here is my simple but cute outfit for when you want to go out. And the elbow length leather gloves have always been my favorite winter accessory.
Sure as the temperatures and our moods change what we wear shifts along with it but there might be something to putting aside our beloved tights and sweaters for a bit to get dressed up for special occasions. So here is to many fun occasions filled with cute outfits!
